Cheap/Free things to do with Young Kids

I have been looking for cheap/free things to do with my kids who are 2 and 16 months. I have a small list of things that are free or cheap to do in Utah County.

~Jump on It- Kids 3 and under jump free, parents can watch for free. Also they have Mom and Me time on Wednesdays at 10 am. 1 adult jumps free and its 3 dollars for 1st child and 2 dollars for additional children. http://www.jumponitparty.com/


~Thanksgiving Point Farm Country- Kids 2 and under are free and its only $3.50 per adult, $2.50 for kids over 2. Season Pass is only $45 for whole family.

~Orem Public Library Lap time- Tuesday Wednesday and Thursdays at 10 am It last up to30 minutes and is great for the young kids. Its free! (there is also story time for older kids on the same days at 10:30 also Free!)

Old Navy and Target

Old Navy started their sale today! at least the AF one. I would run there tomorrow and check it out! I found so much stuff, my kids are set until they are 5!

I guess Target (Orem) had their sale. I heard about it today, and rushed over there and found a few things left over, but not much. It was a weird sale because there are still items that are 30% off and even 50% off, so I am guessing those will have to go to 75% off as well, I just don't know when. Keep checking! The AF target hasn't had their sale yet so there is still hope!

Update on Old Navy and Target

Old Navy's Sale did start today, but its not the sale everyone has been waiting for. All the clearance is up to 75% off. The Orem location had a bunch of girl things, but not so much boy things. But I did manage to get some really good deals.

The Cashier told me that the price of the item is the sticker price but I found that sometimes the price was lower then the sticker price. Shirts said 3.99 but I got them for .99 cents. Its worth checking out, and while your there head over to TJ Max and Ross, I found some great deals there too!

Target Toys are still 30% off. I am so excited for this sale. This is when I get my kids Christmas and birthdays, and presents for cousins and friends. I will keep updating! Hopefully they will go to 75% off quickly!

Old Navy Year End Clearance!

Rumor is that the Old Navy year end clearance sale is on Monday Jan 5, TOMORROW!! I do not know this for sure, I have just heard on different sites that tomorrow is the day! I love Old Navy!

Get Free Stuff From KSL

So, I have started to look on ksl for a few items, and have came across the free section. I talked about ksl in previous posts about getting stuffed gently used and how you can find great deals. Well in this free section, you can get stuff for free! I have seen Twilight Tickets for the midnight premier, fire wood, freezer chests, pets, a lot of baby items, and much more. They go so fast, so you have to call right away or else it will be gone.

Its definatly worth checking out.

Orem Library- Lap Time

The Orem public Library has this thing called Lap time. Its for babies and toddlers. Its held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, every week. It is so much fun! Someone comes and helps moms and babies sing and do finger plays. Some of the people are great! others not so great! but the kids love them no matter what! It starts at 10 am and lasts 20 minutes, and right after is Story Time. We tried that once, but had to leave early because my daughter is too young. That is for older kids.

Its free, and fun!

Jump On It

I love to take my kids to Jump On It. I have a 2 year old and a 1 year old. Well guess what? Kids 3 and under are free! So I take the kids, and I watch them play and leave when we want to.

The nice thing about Jump On It, is that there are 2 jumping areas. One for older kids, and one for kids 4 ft and under (and their parents).

I see coupons around for Jump on it for the older kids. But if you have kids 3 and under, Free is great!

Host a House Party

What is a house party? Its a party that you host from your home, you get a lot of free product, coupons, and samples for you and your guests. Its a way to keep friends and families connected.

If you live in Orem, and like Chinese food, you have to try this Chinese place called the Rice Wok.

We love this place, we have a tradition to go once a week (but usually turns out to be once every 3 weeks), get a bunch of food, and eat leftovers for 2 days!

They are so good, and they have coupons!

Order a ham fried rice and get one free!
Free pot stickers on orders over $20 dollars!

The coupons are on their take out menu, you don't have to have the coupon to get the deal, just tell them when you call, or pick it up.

They have a small place to sit, but its best to order take out. They also have delivery although I have never done delivery.

Free Birthday Cake on First Birthday at Albertsons

Albertsons Bakery offers a free birthday cake on your childs first birthday! Its an 8x8 round single layer and they have 8 different decorations you can choose from and they will write whatever you want on it, and its Free!

I found this deal at Albertsons Orem Utah Center Street. Check you Albertsons to see if they do it in your area!

SLC's Dine O' Round

Dont forget about SLC's Dine O' Round! September 12-September 27 This is a great way to try those restaurants that you don't ever go to!

I doubt that my family will participate because we don't go to SLC very often, and its not worth the gas to drive there just for dinner, but if you live in SLC you can take advantage of it!
